COVID-19: small groups with a 1.5 meters distance

Due to the Coronavirus, fewer students are temporarily placed in a group. Each seat has a minimum distance of 1.5 meters to a different seat. In this way we ensure the safety of our students and teachers. An advantage for you as a student is that you will be taught in small groups! Curious about what else Lest Best does to protect your safety? Read our COVID-19 page.

The registrations for the language courses in December and February are already open. Do not wait too long to register, the number of available course places is limited. So sign up quickly for an intake interview.

What do you learn in the B1.1 and B1.2 Dutch course?

Course information: Dutch B1.1 and B1.2

The purpose of the B1.1 and B1.2 courses is to develop your language skills to reach the B1 level. Each module takes 6-9 weeks. You learn to empathize and reassure, to give a reinforced response, to ask and give an opinion, to agree or disagree with someone, to make contact,
not wanting or being able to say something, complaining, exchanging something, discussing something, being able to describe things and people and talking about art. You practice grammar: verbs with "te" and "om ... te", separable verbs, "er", relative sentences and passive.

During this course we work with the following course materials: the book Nederlands in Actie, chapter 3-5 and chapter 6-8 (including e-learning), Study Guide B1.1, Study Guide B1.2, exercises with separable verbs and verbs with a preposition and the YouTube channel Lest Best for grammar videos.

During this course you will take various tests and assignments: grammar, speaking, pronunciation and intonation and vocabulary. After completing the course you will receive a certificate with your results. We also look at your motivation and effort during the course. If these are sufficient, you can continue with the follow-up course: Dutch B2.1.

  • Intensive language course
  • Personal guidance
  • Final interview with personal study advice
  • Certificate with achieved study results
