What do you learn in the B1.1 and B1.2 Dutch course?

Course information: Dutch B1.1 and B1.2

The purpose of the B1.1 and B1.2 courses is to develop your language skills to reach the B1 level. Each module takes 6-9 weeks. You learn to empathize and reassure, give a reinforced response, ask for and give an opinion, agree or disagree with someone, make contact, do not want or cannot say something, complain, exchange something, discuss something, be able to describe things and people and talk about art. You practice with the grammar: verbs with "te" and "om ... te", separable verbs, "er", relative sentences and passive.

During this course we work with the following course materials: the book Nederlands in Actie, chapter 3-5 and chapter 6-8 (including e-learning), Study Guide B1.1, Study Guide B1.2, exercises with separable verbs and verbs with a preposition and the YouTube channel Lest Best for grammar videos.

During this course you will take various tests and assignments: grammar, speaking, pronunciation and intonation and vocabulary. After completing the course you will receive a certificate with your results. We also look at your motivation and effort during the course. If these are sufficient, you can continue with the follow-up course: Dutch B2.1.

  • Intensive language course
  • Personal guidance
  • Final interview with personal study advice
  • Certificate with achieved study results
